What You Need To Know Before You Buy A 'Baroque ' jewelry set 1.4 W x 1.5 L
Ebay is an auction website. Items which can be bought or sold here range from a pin to a house. Only registered members can participate in the auction and/or sell goods.
I am an active member of Ebay, I mainly buy goods, particularly books and CDs and also sell some stuff, mainly CDs.
The registration process takes about 15 minutes, but if you do not have a Paypal account, you will need to have one as well since most sellers accept Paypal payments.
There is a search engine to find the items you wish to buy and from the main page you can go to the option "My Ebay" and here you can either select "sell" if you wish to sell or "buy" if you wish to buy.
If you buy, there is a listing fee of at least 15 pennies and Ebay will also take a commission of the final price, which can be in between 3.5% and 5.5%
In my experience, I got some good deals, I sent money already twice to people who did not send me the good and make a run, on one occasion I recovered them via Paypal. I also had a problem with one seller who did not honour his winning bid. Ebay is a bit of a mixed bag, but if you have time, you can get good deals. It is time consuming though, no doubt about this!

Ebay is one of the biggest online shopping sites on the net you sell your items which is even better then going to a carboot sale.
I have only bought items from Ebay but yet i have only ever had one problem which was a DVD Employee of The Month. I bought from ebay only to find it was an Asian copy i was disapointed after paying 8 but it was from the original DVD but thats not the point i want original DVD.
Every other item i have bought from ebay has been fine and has been really good quality and most times it's been cheaper then buying from HMV. DVD's and games i use it for and if i see it cheaper then in shops i will buy them off the internet. You have to be careful when buying items from other country's as you sometimes get hidden charges. Buying the Skins Series 1 DVD i found strange that it said the location was United Kingdom only to find out it was send from Hong Kong.
As for ebay it's a site you have to beware of and always check people's comments and check the photo to see if it is the real item. If you ever problems on ebay try to take up the matter to them to try and help you. Always beware of shopping on ebay because there is tons of fake DVD's which is really annoying as ebay have not removed some which they should have.
Summary: Good but always be careful when buying from a seller
